About Minsuk
Born in Jeonju. Moved to China (Haian and Shanghai) at twelve. Moved to the US (PA, MA, MN) at fifteen. Spent two years at Macalester College. Transferred to the U of Minnesota and graduated after studying Asian languages and literatures. Served as a landmine training instructor(지뢰조교) in the South Korean army. Married to the love of my life. Worked at several startups in Seoul before moving to Jeju. Opened a vegan sandwich shop with my wife. Closed the restaurant and founded Jagunbae(작은배). Became a father in May, 2026.A reader, writer, podcaster, teacher, baker, and father.
